Emory University’s Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center hosting 25th Brain Health Forum

The 25th Brain Health Forum, hosted by the Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC), is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 24 at The Carter Center. Doors open at 10:00 AM EST and the event will begin at 10:30 AM EST. The in-person program will provide attendees with information to promote healthy aging and identify new methods to predict, prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

The forum will feature experts from Emory University, Johns Hopkins University and Drexel University in the areas of brain health, dementia, stroke and stroke recovery and caregiving strategies. Forum presenters include: Monica Parker, MD, and Todd Golde, MD, PhD, from Emory, Elisabeth Marsh, MD, from Johns Hopkins University and Laura Gitlin, PhD from Drexel University, as well as Omar Samad, PhD, from Eisai, Inc., and John Lewis from Energy Fitness of America.

Founded in 2005, the Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) facilitates research of and education on Alzheimer’s disease and other related forms of cognitive impairment. The Goizueta ADRC strives to gain a deeper understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of cognitive impairment, increase research participation of underrepresented people, such as members of the African American community and improve care protocol for people living with dementia. It is part of a national network of Alzheimer’s disease research centers supported by the National Institutes of Health.
