Help Emory's Educational Gardens identify campus locations to grow fruit trees

Emory’s Educational Gardens want your suggestions for good spots on campus to plant fruit trees.

This good-looking tree is growing lots of figs and even creating a home for some ladybugs.

The fig tree was planted last winter near the Woodruff PE Center in a corner between the tennis courts and a parking lot that formerly was just a pile of pine straw.

Now, ideas for where to plant more trees are wanted. Send them to Lauren Ladov, Educational Gardens coordinator.

Ladov also said, “We are also planning on physically tagging and digitally tagging onto Concrete Jungle's map all the fruit trees already on campus— there's lots!” Concrete Jungle “transforms overlooked and underutilized fruit trees” and donates the produce to shelters and food banks.
