Road closures scheduled for Saturday morning during Winship Win the Fight 5K

Several roads on and adjacent to the Emory University campus will experience lane closures between 8:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, during the 2017 Winship Win the Fight 5K Run/Walk, in which approximately 3,200 are expected to participate.

Roads adjacent to campus will have one lane closed temporarily, including Haygood Drive from Ridgewood Circle to North Decatur Road, as well as North Decatur Road from Haygood Drive to Clifton Road. West-bound traffic on North Decatur west of Clifton Road will be diverted south through the neighborhood at Clifton Road. Oxford Road from North Decatur to Dickey Drive will be one lane.

Southbound traffic at Clifton Road will be blocked at Uppergate from 8:35 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. Northbound traffic coming onto campus at North Decatur Road will be detoured to Haygood to access campus. 

Campus roads that will be closed for the runners/walkers include Dickey Drive, Eagle Row, Asbury Circle, Means Drive, Pierce Drive and Uppergate Road.

Motorists should avoid the area if possible. Those traveling in the area should expect delays until 9:45 a.m.
