Two dead trees on Emory Quad scheduled for removal

Facilities Management will coordinate the removal of two dead trees from the Druid Hills campus Quadrangle on Monday, Oct.10, and Tuesday, Oct. 11.

A large Sugar Maple located near Carlos Hall has succumbed to an infestation of Ambrosia beetle and must be removed. In addition, a very large White Oak located near Callaway Hall was struck by lightning this past summer and needs to be removed.

Emory is saddened by the loss of these beautiful trees and replacement trees will be planted this winter.

Any concerns, questions or comments can be directed to Jimmy Powell, director of Engineering and Exterior Services, at jimmy.powell@emory.edu.
