Lifesaving Mother's Day gifts available at Emory heart event

ATLANTA – In collaboration with the American Heart Association, Emory Healthcare is hosting a free public event at Emory University Hospital Midtown on Friday, May 9.

During the fun, educational event, participants will have an opportunity to meet Emory Women’s Heart Center physicians and staff and learn more about how to prevent, detect and treat heart disease. They can also purchase a women’s heart screening gift certificate --a unique Mother’s Day gift that could help save the life of a loved one.

The $75 gift certificate for a heart screening includes: a comprehensive physical exam, cholesterol and glucose analysis, body mass index, blood pressure, electrocardiogram, a personalized healthy eating and exercise plan and cholesterol education, including smoking cessation and stress management
