Blood drive is Nov. 6-7

The "Emory Cares" Blood Drive starts Tuesday, Nov. 6 and runs through Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The drive is being held at the Woodruff P.E. Center, atrium level.

All donors receive a free t-shirt and are entered into a drawing for a $1,000 gift card. If over 100 pints are collected, drawings for four gift cards worth $25 each will be added, according to the Emory Red Cross Campus Club, a sponsor of the drive.

To make an appointment, donors are asked to log on to and click "Make a Blood Donation Appointment," sponsor code "emory."

Student Alycia Patton, who is from Massachusetts, says over 300 blood drives were canceled because of Hurricane Sandy.
