Clifton Road construction continues with intermittent lane closures

With Emory's Commencement activities completed, road construction has resumed along Clifton Road requiring some lanes to be closed intermittently through early June for street improvements related to the new Emory Point Phase II development.

One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained throughout the project to minimize traffic congestion. Roadwork will generally take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pedestrian traffic will be clearly designated and maintained during construction. Traffic barriers and flaggers will be used as necessary to safely direct vehicle traffic around lane closures.

Tasks to be completed along Clifton Road include median curbing, asphalt paving, pavement striping, traffic signal finalization, media landscaping and the installation of ADA ramps.

Emory Point is a mixed-use development offering restaurants, retail shops and apartments. Phase II, which will feature an Earth Fare organic and natural foods grocery store, is currently under construction. It is slated to open in early July.
