Federal Elections Commission to hold public event at Emory Law

Emory University School of Law will host the third in a series of public conversations with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Thursday, Oct. 23.  Members of the public will have the opportunity to speak to FEC Vice Chair Ann Ravel and panelists directly. 

WHAT: A public conversation with Federal Election Commission (FEC) vice chair Ann Ravel entitled "The Future of Elections and Democracy." Vice Chair Ravel has set out across the country this fall to hear from the American people and from local experts so that they may become part of the debate in Washington. She aims to hear directly from the people: How do they feel about the state of elections and campaign finance? What do they want their democracy to look like?

  • Anne Tucker, associate professor of law, Georgia State University

HOW: The event is FREE and open to the public. Please RSVP to ensure your seat. Free parking available after 4:00 p.m. in the Lowergate South deck, directly behind the law school.
