Senior Class Raises Money for Nursing Scholarships

The 2013 graduating class of the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing raised more than $4,000 in its senior class gift campaign, an annual fund-raising effort. The funds will support need-based scholarships at the school.

The class achieved 95 percent participation among the 110 BSN students who graduated in May. The gift benefits the Nursing Scholarship Fund, providing unrestricted financial support for nursing students. Along with gifts from faculty, staff, and Dean of Nursing Linda McCauley, the class raised $4,130.

Class officers presented the gift to Dean McCauley on May 9 at Emory’s annual Class Day, a ceremony honoring graduating seniors from the nursing school, Emory College of Arts and Sciences and Goizueta Business School.
